Year 2022 in Pictures

Back in the slum, 2022 has been horrible in terms of photography.

I don’t really have anything to show this year. Most of the photos are for “personal documentation” purposes, or something related to mountain biking progression with its own conundrum: the ones I took has no photographic values to share here, while the ones I like — because it shows the progress I made with the sport — were not taken by me. So, yeah.

Somehow, I feel a bit out of place. Like Coutinho and Bale here…

*for context, the photo was taken in Leeds United vs Aston Villa friendly match in Brisbane (17 July 2022). These two guys have absolutely no business here :-). Well, probably Coutinho was fine, but the guy is wearing Liverpool jersey.

But, chill, all is good.

Last year, I was thinking to accept the fact that I don’t carry my camera everywhere anymore, and I should start learning to optimize the shooting experience using my phone.

But, no, they are not the same.

I’m not talking about result; I’m emphasizing on the experience.

The good news, I met a friend who share the same photography interest recently. It somehow triggers me to buy a new battery for the old X100.

It’s a start.

I hope it will push me to bring the camera wherever I can.

We’ll see how it goes in 2023.

Last, but not least, the hope for 2023.

I hope I can see and experience more new things, capture them in camera (or phone), and share them with you here (or Instagram).
