Garden of Dreams, Kathmandu

I almost missed this place.

As a stingy person, I often think that public place like garden or park is supposed to be free. When I know I have to pay to get inside this place, I refuse to go.

However, got nowhere else to go, and had 3 hours to kill, we decided to pay the price and get in.

Not a bad idea after all…

It’s a small, yet beautiful garden… with a lovely cafe to enjoy the view.

We sit there for about 2.5 hours, enjoying hot drinks with snacks… and met a new, hungry friend.

When it’s almost time for our next appointment, we walk around before heading out.

Turns out one of the building in the garden is prepared to display photos and paintings of the garden — before and after renovation in 2000.

Beautiful painting of the garden. Or, is it?

The place is not overly crowded — partially thanks to the entrance fee.

Locals use it as a dating place. Visitor use it to get some serenity from the bustling Thamel area.

All in all, it was a pleasant visit. I especially enjoyed the Hot Lemon with Honey and new friendship with the squirrel :-)

    • Not sure what you mean by magic, but assume it’s a good thing. Thanks, Iksa :-)…
