Capturing the mundane to create interesting stories

Tiong Bahru: Residential Area

As promised last Saturday, a glimpse snapshots of the neighborhood.

This neighborhood sure have a more homey feeling for me. The buildings aren’t that tall; only four storey high. I don’t think they have elevator though.

But most importantly, I like how the first floor is full of life — unlike the void decks of modern HDB flats. You can see people hanging clothes here

Or some gardening

Or… well… nothing

And, of course, you have to meet and greet the locals

Was quite a friendly chap, jumped instantly out of his shelter to greet me.

And after a couple of friendly strokes on the cheek:

“Put the damn camera down, mate. Come lay down next to me and enjoy the sun”

And so I did…. NOT! :D…

  1. NIce range of shots showing the capabilities of the GRD. The gardening picture with the little windmill is great.
