Capturing the mundane to create interesting stories

Red #03

Side Story:

I finally figure out how to best shoot in manual when I’m using GRD3 and external OVF. It requires me to read the lightmeter before taking the camera up to my eye. It’s definitely a slower process than aperture priority, or shooting in manual with D90. But I think the results are more consistent to what I have in mind.

That’s what I want: consistency. It allows me to have confident on the exposure, not itchy to chimpy to see the blinky — not checking the back of the camera, and start focus with what is happening in front of the camera instead.

I’m happy.
