“Welcome to Bandung. Weather on the ground: Super Wet!”
Bandung’s Hussein Sastranegara International Airport (BDO) is (still) a growing airport. It is not until late 2010 that this airport become much more active.
As it grows, the facilities are still limited — small immigration and customs area, small baggage pick-up area, small passenger area to name a few. And, as the following photos show, very limited shade for rain.
Ground crews open and provide one umbrella for each passenger
… which may not be good enough to save you from the rain…
But I’d still appreciate and applaud the dedication that those ground crews have shown. Thank you!
Indonesia AirAsia… take you there, in rain or shine.
Despite the limited facilities, I still prefer to fly here rather than Jakarta’s Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.
Why? Well, it’s simple — because Bandung is my hometown :D…
