All Aboard!

Public transport, most notably the train system, one of several things that I’m going to miss very much from Japan

Side story:

Yes, we are leaving Japan by the end of April 2012.

    • Looking forward to shoot the street in Indonesia, too :D… although I’m still unsure about several issues, like safety and stuffs :D… you should teach me some tips, Muthe :-)…

Who am I to give you some tips, I am a beginner myself, hehe. As for safety, well as long as you don’t walk on dangerous place (seperti yang banyak copetnya atau jambret) or at night, it’s safe enough to take street photos. People on the street here are also love to be photographed (kadang2 malah emang2 suka minta difoto, tapi jangan heran klo disangka wartawan). With your d90 body and wide angle lens, I think people won’t notice you.

        • We can learn from anybody, even learn about street photography from non-photographer :D…

Good to hear that. I guess I will do some ‘scouting’ first before taking out the camera :D…

Where in Indonesia was it that you live again? Nice shot too btw, I like the brightness and the fact that there’s two points of interest for the eyes to move between.

    • Well, my hometown is Bandung, but I still don’t know where I’m going to settle — I’m still looking for a job :D.

Thanks. Two point of interests? What are they? The boy and the woman?

Yes, the boy and the woman, they both seem to have a story.

Try to find a job in Balikpapan, then we can go out and shoot people next time we’re there to visit my wife’s family :p

        • Working in Balikpapan (again) is a possibility… don’t think my wife will like it there, though :D…

          Anyway, we’ll see :-)…
