100 People with Phone #063

S-Phone063-002DSC 5289-martosc

Clearly everyone is busy with their mobile phone — if you look closely, maybe the baby is busy with his/her mobile phone, too

Side story:

Still busy, no time to work on the #41-60 compilation yet.

  1. Great shot fella. Love the mirroring of their actions, and the gulf of space between them.

  4. (holding my magnifying glass) – I think I see the baby holding a pink sparkly cell phone.

    January 5, 2012 at 02:37

    • Sparkly? Are you sure it’s a cell phone and not a sparkling ‘vampire’?

      January 5, 2012 at 07:57

  5. Vampire? Have you been watching Twilight? :)))

    January 5, 2012 at 08:51

    • Haha… honestly, no. I just heard so many references about sparkling vampire on the net… too many that the first thing comes to mind when I hear the word ‘sparkly’ is sparkling ‘vampire’ :D…

I often wonder if people talk to each other anymore.

    January 5, 2012 at 19:31

    • Oh, I can assure you that people do talk to each other — but through phone, e-mail, text message, messenger, etc… including through this photoblog :D…

  8. And facebook, don’t forget facebook! It seems like a lot of people uses it as a method for announcement the big events in their lives.

  9. Ahahahah, maybe their checking your website and seeing the latest photos. ;-)
Wouldn’t be something if you could take a picture and immediately uploaded to your website and these people checking it a few seconds later, raising their heads and saying hi to you? ;-)

    • Hahahaha… that’s the dream, Helder. But, even if the technology existed, I don’t think this blog’s readership is that great in the first place :D…

  10. Muthe

I saw the same phenomenon when I went to Singapore and Malaysia. Everybody’s busy with their cellphone >_< It would be funny if one man came and holding a telephone (like we use at home) while people around him using cell phone. Maybe then they will understand the irony. Anyway, great shot and I love your blog! ^^ Cheers

    • Hmmm… Didn’t you see the same phenomenon in Indonesia? I think the same thing happens everywhere :D…
Thank you for the kind words, Muthe. This is your first comment here, right? Hope to see you more often here. Cheers! :-).
