Mount Fuji: Going Down
The long walk home; it’s actually harder than the climbing
When you were climbing, you have a goal. You are pumped to reach it.
After that, it’s anti-climax. You then walked back home just for the sake of it.
You walk home because you have to, not because you want to.
Why can’t it be like a movie — where it’s over right after the climax and the happy ending?
After 8 hours up, you still have to do 5 hours down.
But, in the end, it was all worthy. It’s an achievement for us and the view was breathtaking (although I don’t have good pictures to show).
I’m glad we did this.
This may be our last summer in Japan, so this could be our last opportunity to climb Mount Fuji.
Although it was not perfect; but we did it :-).
Anyway, this post will end the Mount Fuji series. Hope you enjoyed it.
