  2. Hello GM,

Thanks for visiting my photo blog. The photograph colour processing is excellent, I like to crisp tonality and the not too over done saturation. The composition concept itself is not bad, with good leading lines like the arrows and the yellow boxes. However taking a person from the back often comprimises the composition in any photograph; to make up for it we photographers have to think of a unique way of presenting a person’s back if need be; which I think could be sweetened in this shot. Nevertheless, its a good way forward and I am learning too , so keep trying!

    • Thanks for the constructive thoughts :-).

To be honest, I seldom think about my composition; they mostly are based on intuition :D… and I would say that photography (composition and tone included) is a matter of preference, where yours and mine can be different; and nothing is wrong about that.

Anyway, so, how do you think this can be sweetened?

Btw, how should I pronounce your name?

  3. miringg.. pusing liatnya.. tapi i love the tone… I think you’ve found your tone, no?

    • Pengaruh dari ‘wide angle’ juga kali ya?
Well, as of now, this tone is my favorite. Not sure about the future, though. Preference will always change, I guess.

  4. Interesting shot!

Btw, how do you like your D90 with the kit lens?

    June 25, 2011 at 00:35

    • I would say it’s okay. As expected, the 18-55mm kit lens is not as sharp as my prime lenses… and also not as sharp as my wife’s Tokina 11-16mm. But, it still suits the purpose. I bought it so that I can have a ‘wide-angle’ lens that is not too heavy to carry around every day.

*I only use this lens when I want to shoot something ‘wide’. So, I mostly set it at 18mm. For general day-to-day use, I prefer my prime lens.

  6. Eheheh, I confess that the floor signs would have slipped my mind also. :)

    • It’s reflex, I think. People here instinctively walk on the left side of the road (because the traffic drives on the left?), so even without the sign, most people will walk on the left side.
